Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of data and services obtained through Skiptra. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Non-FCRA use only
The data is not a consumer report and Skiptra is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You must have a lawful, permissible purpose under the GLBA, DPPA, and all other applicable laws for every search, and may use the data only for non-FCRA purposes. By running a search you re-certify that purpose.
Prohibited uses
- Any purpose covered by the FCRA — including determining eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing/tenancy, or any other FCRA-permissible purpose.
- Stalking, harassment, intimidation, or any unlawful purpose.
- Unauthorized resale or redistribution of data.
- Attempting to re-identify or de-anonymize individuals beyond your permissible purpose.
- Violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) or Do-Not-Call rules when contacting individuals.
Compliance & audit
All searches are logged. We may audit usage and request documentation of your permissible purpose. Violations may result in immediate suspension and reporting as required by law.
